This year saw the end of the Toyota Tundra’s dominance in this category with Ford’s F250 SD usurping the title. Designed to handle a rigorous workload yet available with luxury options, the F250 SD is a workhorse of a truck and is a solid choice as a work truck or for doing some serious towing. The diesel-equipped Ford F-250 has a total output of 440 horsepower and 860 pound-feet of torque. Capable of towing up to 16,600 pounds and still boasting a surprisingly quiet and comfortable ride with plenty of leg and head room. While not for those in the market looking for fuel economy, the Ford F250 SD does what it is designed to do well appealing to a large segment of truck shoppers helping it retain its value and win the 2020 Best Retained Vehicle Award.
