Porsche Macan

Having won this year’s Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value Award, the Porsche Macan has now been recognized in both years of its eligibility having launched in 2015. Macan isn’t a smaller, cheaper version of the Cayenne. In keeping with its Porsche pedigree, Macan is fast with superb handling. Although AWD, the bias is directed to the rear wheels to provide driving dynamics more in-line with rear drive performance cars. Power comes from a choice of two engines; the base 3.0 litre V6 delivering 340 hp and the bigger turbo-charged 3.6 litre V6 that delivers a whopping 400 hp putting it on par with some quick two-seat sports cars. Mirroring many other Porsche designs, the interior is as luxurious as one would expect, with plenty of leather and exceptional fit-and-finish. Space is comfortable, but not plentiful, so if you are looking for a family hauler, this isn’t likely to fit your needs. But for those people looking for a lot of sport with a little utility, Macan delivers.
