Many Porsche purists sputtered when the Cayenne first hit the streets as a 2003 model. It was heresy in their eyes, but for buyers it was a Porsche that they could use day-to-day. Times have changed and the Cayenne has become one of the finest SUVs available. For an SUV it is remarkably well composed on road, handling better than many cars, some that have a sporting pretense. Add a twin-turbo V8 to the mix and you end up with an SUV that will leave some other sports cars embarrassed in a stop light drag-race. All in all, it is an SUV that buyers desire and so it is back in 2018 for another Retained Value Award.
