For the 2014 model year, the Lexus GS made some significant changes. Adding an 8-speed automatic transmission to replace the 6-speed helped improve the fuel economy in the rear wheel drive models. The base engine is a 306 hp V6 while the hybrid version generated a combined 338 hp. As expected in a Lexus, the interior is comfortable and well appointed. Space is not exceptional for a mid-sized sedan primarily due to its rear drive configuration that requires a large central tunnel. The GS is a true performance sedan with driving dynamics that are not generally associated with Lexus. So if you are looking for a luxury sports sedan with the legendary quality of Lexus, the GS continues to deliver.
